#time4estonia USK

It’s #time4estonia

During the Holy Week, we’d like to offer you soothing tunes from Estonia, reflecting on our artists’ visions on faith, religion, life and death. Later in the week you ca become accustomed to some Estonian Easter traditions.

USK (faith, belief, religion)

Did you know that Estonians are believed to be one of the least religious nations in the world? Yet, for our most distinguished Estonian, the composer Arvo Pärt, religion has been an enormous part of inspiration. His music has often been described as healing.

Let’s take some time for ourselves to heal with Arvo Pärt’s ‘Salve Regina’ performed at Tallinn St Nicholas’ Church by the Grammy Award winning vocal ensemble – Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. They are internationally one of the most recognised Pärt performers. Conductor Kaspars Putniņš.
