Passport renewal for a child under the age of 12

For a child under the age of 12, passport renewal application can be submitted either through the self-service portal or by post.

NB! If you have access to e-services (ID-card, Mobile-ID or Smart-ID), then the most low-cost and easiest way to renew your child’s documents is through the self-service portal.

If you prefer to apply by post instead, please prepare and complete the following:

  • A filled-out application form (in English, in Estonianin Russian). Instructions can be found here.
  • A DIGITAL photo (physical/printed photos are not accepted). An applicants digital photo should be sent by email to ppa@politsei.ee, with the applicants name and the personal ID code/date of birth (photo requirements).
  • Pay the state fee to the Ministry of Finance (the state fees when applied by post can be found HERE).
  • Send the filled-out application form and the receipt of the state fee payment by post to the below address:

If the previous options are not available to you, please book an appointment at the embassy to submit your application in person.
