#time4estonia believes that digital society has created many benefits. Various public services are easier and quicker to access, saving us some valuable time to spend with friends and family, to see and talk to them no matter which continent we live. Digital society has created an opportunity for social inclusion and given us a chance to solve the problems…
KOOS = together
Did you know that this April an Estonian initiative brought together 12,000 people from almost 100 countries online? It was called The Global Hack which aim was to find solutions that could help us protect ourselves against the pandemic and challenges for this new world.
The global tech community found inspiration in problems that we face every day, that have always been present but are now highlighted by the crisis.
In less than 24 hours, after Estonia declared a nation-wide emergency situation, the local tech community in Estonia launched Hack the Crisis, an online hackathon to solve issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic. Thousands of people across the world decided to follow Estonia’s lead and join the #HackTheCrisis movement. Soon The Global Hack was born and organised with the help of United Nations as well European Commission.
And now a few words of inspiration from the track leads of The Global Hack.
