Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry met with representatives of the UK and attended the Aurora Forum

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jonatan Vseviov was in London on 10 and 11 March for meetings with Permanent Under-Secretary of the Foreign Office Oliver Robbins, the Prime Minister’s National Defence Adviser Jonathan Powell, and Michael Ellam, Second Permanent Secretary for European Union and International Economic Affairs. The meetings covered how to reinforce bilateral relations, ensure continued support for Ukraine, and find common ground with the US administration.

In addition to bilateral meetings, Vseviov attended the Aurora Forum, which is aimed at closer relations between the Nordic and Baltic (NB8) region and the United Kingdom. The event focused on Northern Europe’s security, geopolitical challenges, and boosting Europe’s economic independence and growth.

On the sidelines of the Aurora Forum, Vseviov also attended a high-level Nordic-Baltic and UK meeting hosted by Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories. The meeting covered continued support for Ukraine, Northern Europe’s security, and tackling hybrid threats.
