The central programme for the 36th Presteigne Festival has a strong Baltic flavour and celebrates the centenaries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania becoming independent republics. Important works by a range of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian composers, among them Vladas Jakubėnas, Tõnu Kõrvits, Ester Mägi, Arvo Pärt, Raminta Šerkšnytė, Erkki-Sven Tüür and Pēteris Vasks, are included.
Established over thirty years ago, the Presteigne Festival is held annually in August and has become a focal point for those seeking musical nourishment and artistic discovery. Events take place within six days and include concerts, film screenings, discussions and more.
