Equally celebrated as a unique composer, Chico Pinheiro seamlessly blends Brazilian, classical and jazz influences. Chico has received two Grammy Award nominations, both in the Best Latin Jazz Album category, in 2020 and 2021. Today, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential and celebrated Brazilian guitarists in both Brazilian music and jazz.

Ed Motta aptly described him as the “Brazilian Wayne Shorter,” praising Chico’s virtuosity as both a performer and composer. Chico brings his power quartet to Ronnie Scott’s stage, with Estonian Holger Marjamaa on piano, Mathias Allamane on acoustic bass, and Rogério Pitomba on drums. The quartet presents Chico’s very distinctive sound which encompasses influences from Tom Jobim, Edu Lobo, Baden Powell, Gilberto Gil, and Caetano to Wayne Shorter, Steely Dan, Coltrane, Chopin, and Debussy.
